Millie Criswell, USA Today bestselling author and winner of the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award and the National Readers Choice Award, has published twenty-five romance novels. She entered the realm of contemporary romantic comedy with her novel, THE TROUBLE WITH MARY, for Ballantine Ivy. And followed that up in August 2001 with WHAT TO DO ABOUT ANNIE?
Millie began her writing career when her husband uttered those prophetic words: "Why don't you try writing one of those romances you're always reading?" A voracious reader, Millie began devouring romances in the late 70's and hiding her purchases in her grocery bill, so her husband wouldn't know exactly how much money she was spending on all those wonderful books.
No stranger to plaudits, Millie has won the coveted Romantic Times Career Achievement Award and the Reviewer's Choice Award, and has been nominated numerous times in various categories. Millie has also received the prestigious National Readers Choice Award, presented by Oklahoma Romance Writers, and is the recipient of the Georgia Romance Writers MAGGIE award and the Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence.
Millie resides in Virginia with her husband, Larry. Her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law are all practicing attorneys.
